Comparing reroof quotes? Compare the scope.
Two prices are only useful if you know what each one includes.
Start with what is being replaced.
Ask whether the quote covers the whole roof or selected areas. Check the specified roofing profile, material, coating, underlay, fixings and flashings—not just the colour.
Check the work around the roofing.
Confirm whether access and edge protection, removal of old materials, disposal and clean-up are included. Ask what happens if damaged supporting timber or other hidden problems are found, and how additional work will be agreed.
Know what happens next.
Compare exclusions, payment stages, expected timing and any weather-related arrangements. Clarify which product and workmanship warranties apply, and who handles any required approvals.
A useful quote makes the proposed work understandable. If something is unclear, ask for it in writing before choosing on price alone.
